My husband, Ben, was being honored at a work event in Scottsdale last week. I’m so proud of him and all of the hard work he has put in this past year and glad we could get away for a few days to spend some time together. The view from our room was so beautiful, especially when the sun was setting.
During this trip, I went to a couple of Ben’s meetings and was excited to hear Shawn Achor speak. He has actually studied and dedicated his professional life to studying happiness! His research was incredibly interesting on how our brain works when we are happy. He was so fun to listen to. He truly has a gift. The best “take away” I got from his speech was a daily activity that has been proven to increase happiness in your life and I would encourage you to give it a try too! Everyday, with your family, loved one, dog, whoever…..vocalize 3 things that you are thankful for. Thats it! Do it for 30 days! We just started doing this in our home and it’s been fun so far. Another activity is to have a jar visible in your house. Somewhere you will see it on a daily basis and fill that jar with anything that is an accomplishment. This is great for kids! At the end of the month, open the jar and read them aloud. Read more about his life and what brought him to study happiness in his book, Big Potential!
This dress is actually on sale right now and it is even more beautiful in person. I hope you all are having a great start to your week!
This skirt is so comfy and I love it with a simple striped button down. Tuckernuck has been one of my favorite stores for several years now and I just love their classic American style.
We just go back from Arizona this week. We were in Scottsdale for work trip for my husband. For those of all that are new to following me, my husband is a financial advisor and does retirement planning and investments mainly in Houston, but he has clients all over. I will brag on him a little here because I know he probably won’t see this post. He has won several awards and is someone who has always done the right thing by his clients. I like to say it’s always nice to see the nice guys finish first and he is exactly that. Maybe I’m getting a little sappy because we will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary next week! Anyways, it was wonderful seeing him get the recognition he deserves and I just love watching him in his element. He loves numbers, I love art….I guess opposites do attract!
There is a big giveaway going on right now on my instagram account. Win a new Louis Vuitton neverfull bag or cash of equal value! See how to enter on the post with the bag I posted yesterday!
Sometimes Ben and I love to take a stroll through the neighborhood across the way from ours. The homes are so beautiful and give me inspiration for our home we are building. We finished the exterior design last week and I can’t wait to see it come to life in the coming months!

This dress is so easy to wear and look effortless put together. I like Cuyana because you can rely on the quality of their items. Such a great brand for staple pieces for your closet. This dress is so well made and is double lined towards the bottom….makes me want it in white too. I tagged a few more of their dresses that I like in the widget above.
Take the time to browse their website. I get all of my monogrammed totes there as well. They just came out with an insert specifically made for their bags. So perfect for everyday living. I can fit so much in my totes and love the soft quality of their leather. I have the ecru and caramel color….craving the burgundy!

Panacea is my favorite jewelry designer. I found them shopping in Nordstrom and I always check our their latest items every time I go. I love their pieces because they are always special and thoughtful. I have been purchasing their products for years and I keep coming back. This necklace I’m wearing is from Panacea and I have been wearing it over and over this summer. It is the perfect finishing touch for my look. I have also been wearing THIS pair of earrings is so many posts. I LOVE them. I linked more of my favorite items below and some I hunted for yall on sale as low as $10.
