My parents live in Austin and have this field in front of their home that is filled with wildflowers right now! They go on and on, so many more that I could picture here. We stopped by before we left town to pick some and take them home.
My parents have only lived in Austin for about 10 years and lived in Longview for 25 years before that. Longview is where I grew up. I love getting to go to Austin now when we visit them! There are so many fun things to do! But I miss getting to touch base with my old hometown. We are actually going to take our family to the Hot Air Balloon Festival this summer and I can’t wait to share a little bit of my home with my kids.
So this DRESS!! I love it so much and keep wearing it (if you follow me on instagram, you know just how much I wear it :). And I meant to blog it a few weeks ago, but life has been busy with getting ready to move homes etc. Anyways, the white color sold out, so sad, but I tagged all the colors I could find in it. It is seriously so soft and effortlessly chic!
Have to mention that I LOVE THESE SUNGLASSES! They remind me of the ones Meghan Markle famously wore but they are half the price and so sturdy!
Summer is HERE! Bring on the swimming pools, vacations, and sparkling lemonade! Here are some of my favorite pieces out for the season!
UPDATE ON OUR HOME!
We have gone under contract on a home! We are still working on our plans or our house we will be building on our land in the next few years. We aren’t sure how long we will be in this home, but we have decided to push back building our land home for a couple of years. This house we are under contract currently is in the same school district as our land so Ty will be attending kindergarten in the same school when we start building. Fun fact is that the home we are under contract on is under construction and should be done in the next couple of months! I will be sharing updates of the building progress on my INSTGRAM!
I hope that isn’t too confusing! LOL Lots of construction and plans and home designing going on in my life right now! Crazy, but good and I am glad we are taking our time. I feel like we are being led to where we will be raising our kids and creating a home.
I had such a blast with these two amazing girls shooting all of the new summer looks from Ruthie Grace Boutique. We did the whole shoot in Galveston, TX where Ruthie Grace rented out the COOLEST beach house for us to stay in for the night. I don’t think I have laughed this much in one day ever! So fun 🙂
These are some pics of my favorite pieces from the launch happening TONIGHT at 8pm CST. You can see more pieces on my INSTAGRAM! These will sell out fast so set your alarms ladies!
I saw these everywhere last year and they are back! But this year there are other brands and companies that are making them and at better price points! Pair these with an easy summer dress and some wedges!
We just got back from a family trip to Destin and it was such a blast! I loved watching our kiddos play with their cousins and splash around in the water. My parents plan a trip to the Destin/Seaside area every year and their favorite place to eat is a restaurant called The Back Porch. Heard of it? Our place was within walking distance to it and thats where we were headed this night.
I had been in search of a light blue beachy dress for months and didn’t have any luck, so I decided to make my own. I used to sew some of my own clothes in High School and a little in college. I loved it and not sure why I stopped. I designed this dress off of a vintage 70’s pattern and added some personal touches to it.
A personal dream of mine is to one day design a few dresses of my own. I get frustrated sometimes finding dresses that are easy to wear, can be dressed up or down, and that AREN’T see through. It’s hard to find something that checks all of these boxes in a decent price point and it shouldn’t be. Does anyone else feel this way?
One thing I wanted to mention is that this bag is literally one of my favorite bags ever! And it’s such a good price! It has held up so well and it’s adorable!
